LolitaWardrobe haul, Infanta and Neverland / Soufflesong

Remember a while back when I had a sponsored video with LolitaWardrobe? I mentioned how I wanted a vest from Infanta that they carry, and how I planned to purchase it from them. Well, I did! ^^ So this post is NOT sponsored, I payed everything with my own money, but wanted to give them a proper review since they are a trustworthy Taobao reseller. Here's the unboxing and review video if you want too see it, photos below!

So, the item which made me make the order: Infanta vest.

I really want more print vests for ouji, but brand vests tend to be too small :( So I buy indie brand for now! Lots of them offer custom sizing as well, but this was perfect in size XL.

The details and print are really pretty, and the fabric is nice and sturdy. The sizing is spot on, and you can adjust the fit with the back lacing. Absolutely recommend.

The other item I spotted on the front page, and since it's a steampunk cat skirt, I had to have it...

I made myself promise that I wouldn't buy same themed / looking pieces. So even though I love every stained glass print I see, I already have one and thus don't need a second one. However cats seem to be my weakness... I already had two cat prints, a gothic one from Honey Honey and a classic one from Cherise Cherie. But they are really different dresses, and since this is a skirt (I had to leave the dresses out because like I said, I have two) with a steampunk vibe and a totally different colorway, I gave myself permission to buy it and I love it <3

It's really versatile because you can have the cute sailor-type collar with cat ears, or you can take it out and have the steampunk-y straps / suspenders, or you can leave them out for more classic lolita.

The print and fabric are gorgeous <3

The skirt has partial back shirring so it fits like a glove. I think I'll use it mostly without straps or collar, but they're nice to have to spice up a coord!

Like before, the customer service from LolitaWardrobe was really quick, friendly and all questions were answered. ^^ I really do recommend them if you're wanting to get new items.

That was it for this year, I'll be back with more posts in January~

Sponsored dress from Lolita Wardrobe

Hello! This week's post is a new one (well, I've done unboxings before BUT), it is sponsored!

(Btw here's the video version if you prefer videos over text)

The owner of Lolitawardrobe.com, Angela Cheung, sent me a message on Youtube. whether I would be interested in receiving a free dress in exchange for a review. I took a quick look at their site, and agreed! They carry over twenty indie brands from Taobao, and ship worldwide. Sites like these are a heaven sent for a person like me (you've seen me use re-sellers before) because I hate dealing with shopping services. Lolita Wardrobe is easy to use, and I recommend them based on my experience ^^ More on that below, here is the dress!

Magic Tea Party
Cross and Censer (fish bones corset JSK)

The dress is gorgeous <3 Fabric is nice thick cotton (with cotton lining, super warm winter dress) and the print is so pretty! Even the base fabric has intricate designs, and the hem print is really clear and crisp.

The lace is really beautiful and good quality, it's at the hem and neckline.

The bodice also had delicate rose lace at the seams.
So many details <3

The dress is fully lined, here you can see the tags. I chose XL even though I technically fit the L, because I'm a bit paranoid... You may have heard me complaining about gaining a bit of weight (which I'm otherwise cool with, BUT) thus crowing out of my couple non-shirred pieces... So I was worried that this might not fit if I get the large, and since it has a corset, I went ahead and got the bigger one. It's slightly roomy but perfect with the belt, so success!

The dress automatically comes with the corset belt, detachable rose bow and a lace collar. All are good quality, the corset has plastic bones so it's bendy but sturdy (and the fabric itself is pretty thick, so the belt is quite heavy duty). You can actually see me wear the choker / collar in my hair in the first photo :D I just tied at my neck and voilá! Small and cute.

Lolita Wardrobe was kind to also give me this accessory hat from the same line ^^ If you like the print, the dress comes in two colourways (purply pink and this blue) and the Cross and Censer series actually have three different JSK's, an OP and accompanying hat and blouse.

Communication with Angela was really fast (I always got an answer within hours), very friendly and informative. They allowed me choose my own dress freely, and it was really easy since I have lots of Taobao dream dresses <3 I originally chose this Surfcase Spell OP that I've had my eye on for a while, but when they said it takes 45 work days to make (which is clearly stated in the site, I was just too exited to notice) and I chose something else. What can I say, I hate waiting for expensive items...

Then I took a different approach; what if I chose a dress I though looked really pretty but what I might not buy myself? Since this is a rare free dress, I decided to go ham. I had ten candidates and my partner helped me trim them down to three:

I e-mailed them with these three links (because I couldn't decide) and tada, I got the Cross and Censer JSK!

The communication was very fast, smooth and friendly, the site is easy to use and they have a lot of into and photos. I will  be buying from them myself (I want more ouji items and I've eyed this Infanta vest for a long time, it shall be mine~) so it's safe to say that I recommend them ^^

Thank you for reading! Now that I have time in my hands, you can expect tutorials in the near future~

Because why not

I haven't shown my non-lolita shoppings in a while. Mostly because I try to avoid buying things I don't need to save money for other things (books, games, lolita and recently, make-up). Yet here we are talking about things I've bought! In my defense, these are all either second hand or from a sale so they weren't that expensive. And yes, that's my reasoning and I'm sticking to it.

Leather! Fake, obviously, but cool non the less. I can't fit into my leather pants anymore, so I bought the shorts to comfort me in this time of sorrow (I really loved those pants). Plus these are nice and decent length, almost to me knees :) The pencil skirt I ADORE and it fits! Ah yes. The ruffles make it very flatteringly slimming even though it is quite body hugging. It's mid-thigh so a bit short for my taste, but I'll wear cool tights under it. My favourite of the bunch.

... Apparently I'm not over my punk emo kid phase yet, at least not completely. The death kitty shirt just spoke to me <3 I find myself leaning toward more mature rock pieces nowdays but every once in a while I want to dress like this again. The red and black turtle neck sweater is nice and thin, perfect for layering (which is my way to go year round). As an example, I put it under the t-shirt (not that I'm too lazy to take multiple photos, no, I did this to demonstrate. Yeah, let's go with that). As for the tee, the only print shirts I allow myself to buy are band shirts. Why? Because I have way too f*n many of them. And since Ilike baddy tees, they pretty much all fit so I don't need more. Except for band ones (like my bad-ass Battle Beast one I got a while ago).

Ahem. Did I say "mature rock"? 'Cause these are really, really rock and mature. So yeah. Minions one has been my house shirt for a while (proof? It's swimming in cat hair) though I do wear it outside, like I do with my blouse with cat faces :D The pusheen cat was a must have even though I dislike the cut, but I can put some other shirt under it. My sister called Pusheen "Facebook cat" haha. I'm not in fb but apparently pusheen is :D

I got another make-p minihaul from pretty.fi, I'll talk about it soon once I've kinda tested the products out.

PS I went to see Dead Pool and my it was good! Like, really good, I liked the humor way too much. Plus it's a lot bloodier than other super hero movies (and has plenty of boobs but hey I'm not complaining) so it was also refreshing. I won't say more to avoid spoilers, but if you like the trailer, please o go see it. It was awesome. :)

Raven and the writing desk

Warning: Photo heavy post! :D I this dress it from My Lolita Dress, it's Magic Tea Party's Raven and the Writing Desk in beige colourway. I ordered it with some of the Christmas money I got as a present to myself from myself (?) and it came in three weeks since I chose airmail (more about that in a bit). And I love it!

Here's a video.

Tadaa ~
I fell in love with the color as well as the cut AND as well as the print <3 The bodice is a cut I don't have I thought might look good on my. And it does! I heavily dislike high waited dresses where the "waist" is under my boobs. Waist seam should be at the waist, you know?

The lace is nice cotton lace and ribbons are grosgrain.
The ribbons are a bit different shade of brown than the brown fabric, but I actually like that. MAkes finding matching brown accessories easier when you have more browns to choose from ^^'
(Though I might take the bows off regardless because I like simpler things)

I like the almost-sailor collar and the cut. Also the small print on the base fabric is really nice, it's not just beige.
The loops for the lacing are really sturdy, made from the beige fabric and securely sewn between the fabric. That's good because the dress doesn't have shirring, so if you need to take the dress in, these loops can take it. Lace loops that brand dresses sometimes have looks pretty, but can break and stretch easily so it's only for decoration. These loops are heavy duty.

Invisible zipper which is a bitch to pull up (even with the dress empty) because there is SO MUCH fabric at the waist seam. Seriously. I don't mind a visible zipper if it means that I can actually zip the damn thing easily and not having to carefully jimmy it and being afraid the dainty thing will break. Brand does this too. Agh. Stop.

The dress is fully lined with a cotton fabric. That + the thick fabric of the dress makes this a nice and warm dress. I like thicker dress fabrics to begin with so this is really nice ^^ Schiffon-like material is perfect for blouses, but I like heavy dresses and skirts for some reason.

Bottom ruffle. The small flowery lace is ok cotton lace, nothing special but it's not bad either. The ruffle is nice and full.

Philosophical questions.

Ink well and a pen.
Does that really say MPT? As in Magic Party Tea?
Or is it something else?
I'm confused here...

Writing desk!

And the raven. Print name checks out.

Tiny cup ^^

Detachable things I will not put on, I like simpler things.
These will be nice to make matching accessories from though.

I got this brooch thingy for free even though the page says "Chest+headdress +12,99" but it's a bit wonky, so maybe they couldn't sell it so they gave it for free? I don't know, but if I don't end up wearing it, I can re-use the clip, ribbons and the badass crow. So thank you :D

I fell more in love with the silhuette and color and feel  of the dress rather than the print itself, which is really rare for me. Usually the print is the big selling point, and I'm willing to overlook the cut for the sake of the print (like my AatP Teufel von Hameln which is pretty high waisted). This time I love the overall dress and cut, and the print is "quite pretty". It's a new feeling to me, but I absolutely love this dress and I think I will wear it a lot. <3

Pretty.fi arvio

Today's post is a review of a Finnish makeup online store, so I'm going to write it in Finnish. I will do a proper review of the products themselves later on, but that will take a while: I'm first going to try on one product for a day, the let my face rest for a day or two, and then try the next one. If they're all good to wear,I'll try wearing multiple products at once. So yeah, that takes a while! First impression is good on all but the elf lipstick, more of that in the actual review.

Here is my unboxing video if you're interested, there I talk a bit more in English.

Tilasin meikit pretty.fi:stä, täytyy sanoa että nettisivut on törkeän hyvät. Kuvat on selkeät, tuotetietoa on reilusti ja sisällys on listattuna jokaiseen tuotteeseen (tosin englanniksi). Helppo navigoida, tein jo melkoisen ostoslistan tulevia kertoja varten, aion siis ehottomasti ostella jatkossakin.

Tuotteet pakkauksissaan!
Lisäksi mukana bareMineralsin huulipuna minkä ostin KICKSistä.

Muutama oheistarvike. Meikkisieni KICKSistä, sudit ja meikinpoisto ihan vaan Cittarista.
Sijoitan kunnon suteihin jos löydän meikkejä mitä pystyn käyttämään, testivaiheessa nämä kelvannee.

Kuoritut tuotteet. Näistä teen tosiaan kunnon arviot jahka olen niitä kunnolla testaillut, tässä linkkiä kuitenkin jo pretty.fi:n sivuille.

elf: ripsarin pohjustusjuttu, peitekynä, kajaali, huulipuna (tätä en suosittele)

Tuotteet lähetettiin tilauspäivänä keskiviikkona ja olivat perjantaina miulla eli nopeaa toimintaa. Tykästyin kauppaan ja aion varmasti tilailla sieltä jatkossakin.

Knight’s Night Skirt

This skirt took a month to get to me. A month. I got it from Lacemarket, and the seller sent it right away but the post office here is abysmal, at least in my town (long political story). So after a week I started to wait the skirt "any day now", and when it didn't come, I was getting kinda pissed. But, alas, it is here, and I love it <3 Here's a video.

The brand name is Knight's Night, they're from TaoBao and I don't think they name their prints? At least I couldn't find them. The print has this sort of grave look with swords and shield on it, and the base blue fabric has awesome print on it as well.

The buttons have emblems and it's a really nice touch! The skirt is absolutely full of details and very high quality lace. The back shirring gives nicely, but since the skirt is a bit big, I use the lacing to take it in just a tiny bit.

The skirt is XL so I had to lace it in the back, but once I did that, it hugs me nicely. Plus the skirt is long enough to cover my knees! So it's a perfect fit <3 It's also fully lined, which is nice.

I've been looking for blue items to add to my wardrobe. I would love to have blue + pure white, but this skirt is more ivory / light beige. So my hunt for blue/white continues, but I think I'll wear this piece a lot. I made a bit more classic coord today, but I think I can make awesome gothic outfits with this as well.

Anime merch

I realized that I never showed you what I got from Animecon. Though I got just two things. Why? Well, I've always known that the items there have a lot of added cost to them (vendors travelling expense, table cost etc) but only now that I've bought a bunch of anime related stuff from the internet, I've really realized how big the price difference is: something can be 5€ on ebay and 25€ at cons. So with that in mind, I told myself that I could get small souvenirs, but nothing expensive as I could get it a lot cheaper if it's something I really would want.

So, my first purchase was this mug. My reasoning? Mugs can easily break when they have to travel half way across the globe to get to me. This was about 10€, I can't remember anymore. And why DBZ? Because we both love it, it was a good thing to buy for both of us to use. There were lots of cool ones (and I almost bought a Hobbit one too) but I decided on this one.

Second thing was this Kuroshitsuji poster. My reasoning? 'Cos I wanted it :D Now when it comes to Kuro merch, usually they have a lady Ciel, only Sebastian or lovey-dovey blushing Ciel with or without Sebastian. And since I heavily do NOT ship it, I can't stand those posters / you name it, and this kind of cool Ciel pose is rarer and harder to find. Not impossible, but rare enough that I bought it when I saw it. And why it's hanging in front of my window? ... I kinda didn't realize how big it actually was, and I didn't have the wall space for it x( So it hangs there!

Anyway, I ordered some new animu things and will wait for their arrival and maybe show them at some point ^^'

Cat dress!

I have a cat dress! And it a gothic one! I mean usually even if a cat print has a black or dark colorway, it always has some pink in it (like Aristo Kitty). But not this one :D It's from Honey Honey, I got it second hand from Lacemarket for $120 or 113€. I absolutely love the print, and the dress fits really well and is the perfect length <3 Here's a video

I love the subtle foresty print on the bodice, it gives the fabric a nice looking texture without being simply black, but it's not too overpowering either. Kinda like the diamonds on my Cel dress.

The straps are quite narrow and have tiny lace on them. I really like the quality of the dress, the lacing loop lace (?) had pretty flowers on it. The lacing ribbon is really basic, but I'm thinking about chancing it to a subtle golden one, since the frames on the print look kinda golden.

And the cats! They are absolutely adorable! I love the little hats and how they pose all seriously and have such detail ^^

And here the dress is worn (yes those are wool socks, it's cold in here okay). It covers my knees like I  want it to, the bodice isn't too short and I actually used the back lacing to take the dress in a bit instead of stretching the shirring. I really love the dress <3

Now that I have a glass window print and a cat print, I only have to make the chocolate fabric into a dress and I will have my holy trinity of dream prints!

(And maybe someday a book print?)
